design and function collide :-p

so as a cultural experience we went to a hotel/resort that was in our province.

we just spent a couple of hours there. it was rather nice.
the interesting think about the hotel is that it was shaped like a boat, but on a mountain side. . .
dont believe me here is a picture to proove it:

they did a lot to make the resort look like a hotel, even with the port holes in the side of the boat.

here is where design and function collide:

i thought it was humorous . . .

oh and did i mention that there was an ecclipse?

thats all for now, more to come . . .

  1. Oh sigh -- at first I was excited because I thought you were going on a cruise! So the eclipse covered korea? Didn't even think about that when it hit all the news ...

  2. This "hotel"/resort looks like it would be a great place to stay! So, it was built on a mountain-side, with NO WATER VISIBLE ? Odd, VERY odd!

Couldn't agree with you more about the questionable "design/function" feature! ! Hmmm... :-)

I read about the total eclipse going to effect Asia and other countries around. According to the Korea Astronomy and Space Center, your area of Korea experienced a "partial" eclipse because Korea is located on the upper side of the path.

I hope you and Tova were able to safely observe it !
